Funds4impact Summit 2025: Powering change in Latin America
The second edition of the Funds4impact Summit has firmly established the event as Latin America and the Caribbean’s leading gathering for sustainable development, social investment, and strategic funding partnerships.
Funds4impact's recent summit brought together over 250 participants from 20 countries, creating a vibrant and collaborative space for changemakers and funders to connect, innovate, and act.
Representatives from NGOs, international foundations, impact investors, corporate partners, and cooperation agencies came together with one shared goal: to drive scalable, community-rooted solutions to the region’s most urgent challenges—from health and education to governance, climate resilience, inclusive economies, and access to safe water.
Global meeting, local solutions
With delegations from the UK, United States, India, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Colombia, Abu Dhabi, and more, the summit exemplified the power of international collaboration. Participants showcased high-impact projects, shared funding insights, and activated more than USD $80 million in funding opportunities—a testament to the summit’s growing relevance on the global stage.
Karina Sandoval-Boonstra, Founder and Director of Funds4impact, captured the spirit of the event:
“The current funding landscape in the region demands that organizations think beyond conventional donation models. This summit has shown that it is possible to build bridges between urgent social needs and purpose-driven financing.”
From pitching to partnership: what happened at the summit?
Over two dynamic days, attendees engaged in:
- Panels and workshops on emerging fundraising trends and institutional resilience
- Visionary Spotlight sessions featuring high-potential innovations
- Pitch4impact, giving organisations a platform to showcase scalable ideas
- Matchmaking Hours that facilitated strategic connections between funders and changemakers
Featured projects included ALSALUS by Clínica Bíblica, a mobile breast cancer screening initiative serving rural women in Costa Rica; and models like "Compassionate Cities", blending health and territorial development, introduced by Juan Pablo Rueda of Keralty Group.
A stronger, more inclusive ecosystem
This year’s summit highlighted the growing influence of philanthropy that listens, accelerates, and scales. As Lyana Latorre, Regional Director at The Rockefeller Foundation, noted:
“We don’t want to be perceived as the foundation that simply provides funds and walks away. We aim to nurture, accelerate, and scale ideas.”
Special contributions from HCLTech Foundation, Global Innovation Fund, and Colectivo TRASO offered attendees practical advice for designing evidence-driven proposals, accessing grants, and building sustainable public-private-community partnerships.
