This session will explore the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents for charities, with a particular focus on how AI can be used to enhance supporter insight and transform the way organisations use, manage, and apply their research.
Top Table exists to give Fundraising Directors a dedicated space to connect with peers, share experiences, and discuss both the pressures they face and the developments that excite them in the evolving world of fundraising. Over the past several years, Top Table events have supported hundreds of senior fundraisers to build meaningful professional connections.
Using AI to improve supporter insight
Following feedback from previous events, this Top Table will focus specifically on AI’s growing role in supporter insight — including its potential to help charities make better use of the research and data they already hold.
The session will be led by John Tasker and Jonathan Cook, the team behind DonorPersona — a project that uses AI to create interactive supporter personas built on charities’ existing research, insight, and supporter data. Their work aims to:
- Bring supporter segmentations to life for teams
- Improve insight-led decision making
- Unlock greater value from existing research
The discussion will consider both the practical opportunities and the real-world challenges charities face when introducing AI into their insight and research processes.
