European third sector experts gathered in Dublin for EUConsult conference
Leading European consultants in the Third Sector gathered in Dublin on 24th October for the EUConsult Autumn Conference, an international event dedicated to advancing excellence, ethics, and innovation in consultancy for non-profit organisations and civil society.
The conference brought together professionals from across Europe to exchange insights, share experiences, and explore how to achieve values-based impact for non-profit organisations.
Among the experts representing EUConsult was Francesca Mineo, our Director of IFCo Italy and member of the EUConsult Board. She joined a distinguished line-up of European colleagues including Martin Georgi (Germany), Iiris Kivimaki (Finland), Uday Thakkar (UK), Jacqueline Detiger (Netherlands), and Mary O’Kennedy (Ireland). Together, they led conversations on how consultants can help non-profits and civil society organisations strengthen their purpose and maximise their social impact.
A strong Irish presence
This year’s conference featured a dynamic group of Irish leaders and social impact professionals:
- Éilis Murray, CEO of Philanthropy Ireland and board member of Philea, highlighted the evolving role of philanthropy in building community resilience.
 - Áine Myler, CEO of the Charities Institute Ireland (Cii), presented the Institute’s work representing over 320 members, promoting transparency and best practices in governance, fundraising, and financial standards.
 - Ruadhán Ó Críodáin, Executive Director of ShoutOut, showcased the organisation’s educational and storytelling programmes that advance inclusion and rights for LGBTQ+ communities.
 - Mary O’Kennedy, CEO of OKC, discussed her consultancy’s values-led approach to supporting non-profits, philanthropy, and social impact initiatives.
 - Liz Roche, Head of Foundation and Sustainable Business at Vodafone Ireland, shared insights on corporate responsibility and purpose-led partnerships.
 - Kerry McCall Magan, Country Director for Ireland at the British Council, focused on cultural connections and collaboration across sectors.
 - Julie Jones, Head of Strategic Growth at the Community Foundation for Ireland (CFI), outlined how the Foundation — supported by over 5,000 volunteers and partners — serves as a national hub for philanthropy and effective giving.
 - Helen Nolan, CEO of Spraoi & Spórt, described how the Donegal-based social enterprise promotes inclusion for people with disabilities and families in need through accessible community programmes.

Strengthening the voice of European consultants
EUConsult once again provided an essential platform for consultants supporting the non-profit sector across Europe, fostering collaboration, ethical standards, and professional growth.
Reflecting on the event, IFCo’s Francesca Mineo said:
“It was inspiring to see consultants from across Europe unite to share expertise, build partnerships, and reaffirm our shared commitment to positive social change. Events like this highlight the power of collaboration and the importance of maintaining strong professional values in our work with non-profits.”
The International Fundraising Consultancy was proud to be represented at EUConsult’s Autumn Conference and to contribute to advancing the quality, integrity, and impact of consultancy within the global non-profit community.
